  1. The `N2' (Second Name) gadget can be used in conjunction with the raw
  2. sysex data display to define the first character of the 2nd Name in
  3. the sysex data.  Only Banks contain more than one Name.  The `N2'
  4. gadget is concerned with highlighting the 2nd Name in a Bank.

  6. First, if the data from your synth is NOT in the `Standard Format', use
  7. the KEYBOARD gadget to convert it.
  8.  
  9. Click the left mouse button while pointing over the `N2' gadget. The
  10. pointer will change and the prompt "Name 2 START ==>" will appear.
  11. The program is waiting for you to highlight the first character of
  12. the 2nd Name in a Bank.

  14. Hold down the left mouse button while you are pointing over the sysex
  15. file.  As you move the mouse, the current offset will display.  Release
  16. the mouse button when you are over the first character of the 2nd Name.
  17. It should be easy to find the Name if you look at the ASCII side of the
  18. window.

  20. The `Ch', `D', `N1' and `Ck' gadgets allow you to highlight different
  21. components of the sysex data.  Once highlighted, you can click on the
  22. various `Question Marks' located in the window.  Each time you click
  23. on a `Question Mark', its associated string gadgets will be updated
  24. with offsets and counts based on the highlighted fields.
